About Urai

AI is not just models. It is a neuro-symbolic system.

That belief shapes everything we build. Here is what it means, and where we are taking it.

What we believe

The industry is in a race for bigger models. We think that is only half the story. A large language model is extraordinary at intuition and language, but on its own it guesses. It does not reason reliably, it forgets between turns, and it cannot act on the world with any precision.

Intelligence has always needed a second half: symbols, logic, and code. The neural side proposes; the symbolic side verifies, executes, and remembers. Put them together and you get a system that can plan, act, and be checked. That pairing of neural intuition with symbolic rigor is what we mean by neuro-symbolic AI, and for us it is not a feature bolted on top. It is the architecture.

What we are building

At Urai, the model does what it is best at: understanding what a person actually wants. When it is time to do something, it writes code and runs it in a secure sandbox. Code is our symbolic layer, deterministic and inspectable. Every action is a small program you can read, test, and audit, rather than a black box you are asked to trust.

Because the work is code, the system learns. Every problem it solves can be distilled into a reusable Skill, so the next answer arrives in one step and the agent compounds on your data instead of waiting for someone else's next model. It stays grounded in your knowledge, connected to your tools, and running on your runtime.

Beyond voice agents

We started with voice because it is the hardest test of the idea. Voice is real-time and unforgiving, and an agent that can only talk is a demo. One that reasons through code and touches real systems is a product.

Voice was never the destination. The same engine now runs in-app agents embedded inside SaaS products and AI workspaces for whole teams. We are not here to solve voice agent infrastructure. We are building the foundation for software that can think and act.

Secure execution, real-time orchestration, grounded retrieval, and skills that improve with use are the primitives of AI-native software. We intend to build all of them, in the open, with the people who use us.

"What we appreciate most about Urai is the team's availability, openness, and transparency. Their approach to building AI services is particularly thoughtful and innovative, and it genuinely feels like we are helping shape the product as it evolves rather than simply using a finished tool."
